In-Progress Watercolor

These watercolor paintings are a work in progress, each one developed through a layered and intuitive process. I begin by laying down general color areas, then gradually build depth with additional layers. Fine lines are added to define forms and bring out details. I’m especially drawn to the fluidity of watercolor—how the pigment moves and settles on wet paper, creating natural blends, shadows, and unexpected textures. This series is inspired by the flowing lines and organic decoration of Art Nouveau. A few of the pieces feature beloved dogs, painted as a heartfelt tribute to my aunt, who misses them dearly. Though unfinished, each painting is evolving into a personal and expressive reflection of connection, memory, and beauty.
